Takehiko's Profile

Name: Takehiko Hosokawa

Monster Parent: A jiang-shi by the name of Kaori Kiyohana. . . Well, Kaori Hosokawa now. She sometimes goes by the Chinese name Xiang-Hua.
My step-father is a yosei who was living in China when we first met.

Family: I have two yosei step-sisters: Mary and Maya.

Age: It's a little embarrassing to admit, but I've only been alive for five years. . . sort of. You remember how I said my step-father was a yosei? He wanted me to be about the same physical age as his daughters. And since undead can't actually age. . . the only way to do that is through magic.

Killer Style: I don't like to wear anything that really makes me stand out. I stand out enough with my jiang-shi traits. I like black and orange together, so I try to mostly wear those colors. They kind of match the seal colors.

Freaky Flaw: I get made fun of because of my “waifish figure.” I'm not sure what that means, but I don't think it's very nice. I also have to wear sacred seals on my forehead so I can maintain a certain cognitive level. It's very distracting, but I know it's for every living students' protection. Plus, I've been called an “extreme doormat.” I don't like my reflection, either, but I've been told that's common with Jiang-shi. Unlike other vampires, we actually do give off reflections—we just don't see ourselves the same way as everyone else (so I've been told). [Note: He actually sees himself as a heavily decayed corpse.]

Pet Peeves: I don't really have any pet peeves. I just don't like it when people are mean to each other. There's no need for that.

Favorite Food: I can't actually taste anything. I mostly eat just for nourishment.

Pets: Oh, with Tom (Maya's tanooki) and Ralph (Mary's rat) in a constant turf war, I wouldn't feel right getting another animal, though some day, I want to get a rabbit.

Favorite Subject: It's hard to say. I have physical deaducation with Yami, so I like that class, but I don't really have a favorite subject.

Least Favorite Subject: Before meeting Yami, physical deaducation. . . a little. Mr. Verizhe and Coach Igor use duct tape to make sure my seal stayed in place as of late. It came off once, according to my classmates, and Deuce Gorgon had to turn me to stone in self-defense.

Friends: I try to get along with everyone. Yami's been trying to teach me to stand up for myself, though he'll stand up for me. Deuce is there for me, too, since he understands what it's like to not be able to control our monstrous natures. (It's obvious, but he's got a little crush on Yami.)

Maya and Mary's Profile

Name: Mei-Qui Hosokawa and Mei-Ya Hosokawa

Preferred Name: Mary and Maya

Monster Parent: Yosei—he goes by Seihiko Hosokawa or Bao-Jian Jin, depending on the circumstances. He's thinking about going by Rhys as his western name. [For the record, Mary has a Japanese name, too: Akiko, which goes in theme with her Chinese name, as both are related to autumn. Maya can actually write her name in kanji, so she doesn't have a strictly Japanese name.]
Our step-mother is a jiang-shi. Father took her in and revived her son as one. Then, he had to artificially age the boy.

Age: 1686

Killer Style: (Maya) Because my wings are on my head, I can wear whatever I'd like. I like to show off skin. I just love detached sleeves and arm warmers! I know how everyone enjoys a little zettai ryouiki, so I normally wear stockings under my shorts and long boots (I usually shoot for grade B).
(Mary) Well, my wings are on my back, which sort of limits the option of styles of dresses and shirts I can wear. My clothes are always low-cut in the back. Like Maya, I enjoy detached sleeves, arm warmers, and long gloves. I also love zettai ryouiki (especially grade B to A—especially grade A on other people).

Freaky Flaw: Well, for starters, we can feel everything either of us experiences. We mean EVERYTHING, so that leads to some awkward situations. So, we've learned to suppress our emotions.
(Maya) My plans always blow up in my face. Sometimes, figuratively.
(Mary) Have you ever heard the phrase, “Curiosity killed the werecat?” Well, let's just say I'm glad I'm not a werecat.

Pet Peeves: We kind of hate it when people consider us a unit, but we're aware it's for convenience. Also, we really hate it when people say we can't possibly be twins because we're not identical.
(Maya) I hate it when the male athletes try to hit on me.
(Mary) Everyone assumes I'm only into ghouls. I like men, too!

Favorite Food: (Maya) I don't really have a favorite food.
(Mary) I love potatoes. I don't care how they're cooked—just make sure they are cooked.

Pets: (Maya) A tanooki named Tom.
(Mary) I have a rat. He's albino, and his name is Ralph.

Favorite Subject: (Maya) Home Ick, believe it or not. Sewing is relaxing, and I love cooking.
(Mary) Mad science and chop [trying for the shop pun] I always want to know how things work.

Least Favorite Subject: We both agree on this. We hate physical deaducation.

Friends: Kirei actually gets us. She treats us like different people.
(Maya) I'm crushing hard on Operetta. She has a beautiful singing voice, though I wish she'd sing opera or at least show tunes. Mm. . . I could imagine Kirei and Operetta performing "Last Dance" together. "The last dance belongs to me. . ."

Kirei's Profile

Name: Kirei Suzuki

Monster Parent: Kuchisake Onna

Age: 46

Killer Style: I like to dress in layers. I also wear a biker's mask with all of my outfits. It's better than wearing a surgeon's mask, since I don't want people always asking if I'm sick.

Freaky Flaw: I don't know. Yami--I mean Yamato-niisan--seems to think I'm a little ax crazy. Personally, I think it's just that I'm not very smart. (She's never going to admit it, but she has a phobia of her reflection.)

Pet Peeve: I hate it when people ask me if I'm sick, but I hate being accused of a normie even more!

Favorite Food: Seaweed or Salt and Vinegar potato chips. I like the way they crunch and sting slightly.

Pets: None. I never had a pet, since I lived in a small apartment in Japan. I've considered getting a python, but then I remember that I have Yami, now.

Favorite Subject: Literature. I always enjoy reading. Also music class and drama. I don't usually tell people this, but I wanted to be a male actor for Takarazuka Revue when I was alive. I loved the female actors, but I just never felt pretty enough to be one.

Least Favorite Subject: Math. For some reason everyone thinks I should be good at math since I'm Japanese. Well, I'm not.

Friends: Mary and Maya. They're the children of a yosei.

Yami's Bio

Here's his initial profile. I'll update with the "progress report" later.

Name: Yamato Suzuki

Monster Parent: Kuchisake Onna (step mother)

Age: 15

Killer Style: I dress how I feel comfortable. I like denim and leather, so most of my clothes are made of these materials. I've tried covering up that damn scar Kirei gave me, but the biker's mask made me look suspicious (so I gave it to Kirei).

Freaky Flaw: I have a huge scar on the left side of my face. I'm confrontational, which will probably be a bad thing, and I try to be cynical.

Pet Peeve: I hate it when Kirei ends up in my room, even when I lock my door! I used to hate being called Yami, but if I act like it doesn't bother me, maybe Kirei will stop introducing me as her "big brother Yami."

Favorite Food: Spicy beef and rice.

Pets: I don't have a pet, and I don't think I'm going to be getting one with that psycho running around.

Favorite Subject: Physical deaducation and astronomy. I miss kendo, but I can actually see stars here.

Least Favorite Subject: History. I'm just not good at the subject, and half the time, I don't care. They don't cover the sort of history I'm interested in at Monster High anyway.

Friends: I usually hang out with the other normal people at the school, but they think I'm a monster because of Kirei. I can tell my life is going to be great here. (He's not going to admit to it, but he has huge crush on Maya and Mary's step-brother Takehiko—who is a jiang shi.)
